HISTORY & VISION
History
The Healing Center International opened in January, 2000 as the Healing Rooms of Minnesota with a few spiritually hungry people desiring to see the supernatural power and love of God demonstrated. Since then we have helped others open healing rooms, we have moved to a larger location, and incorporated in May, 2002 as a nonprofit ministry under the name of Healing Center International.
The healing room concept of prayer ministry began with John G. Lake in the early 1900's, in Spokane, Washington, where the incredible work of God produced an astounding 100,000 documented miracles of healing within a five year space of time. After Lake's death in 1935 the ministry ceased until a real estate developer named Cal Pierce received the calling of God to move to Spokane and to reopen the original prayer rooms.
On July 22, 1999, the ministry began again, under Rev. Cal Pierce and has since spread as wildfire around the world.
Our healing rooms were the second ministry of this type to open in affiliation with the Spokane Healing Rooms.
Vision
Matthew 9:35 says, "Then Jesus went about all the cities and villages, teaching in their synagogues, preaching the gospel of the Kingdom and healing every sickness and every disease among the people."
It is our desire to see the church doors and public arenas opened to become places for the sick and hurting to come and receive God's healing grace.
Our vision for the future is to see God's healing power poured out throughout the cities, states, and nations of the world. There is a move of God in these last days to bring the reality of the risen Christ to a lost and dying world.
When missionaries go to another land, they don't immediately start leading people to Christ. They begin to meet the practical needs of the people first. When they have earned their right to minister, they offer the love and power behind their help, which is Jesus the Christ! Thus, healing is not presented for healings sake, but healing that they might receive Jesus as savior and Lord and have eternal life. |
